The first of many visits – today with Mori HaRav Rabbi Yaakov Peretz shlit”a.
It was so emotional for all of us to come visit our Rabbi after 2.5 years of not being able to see each other in person! This was the longest time I have ever spent apart from Mori HaRav, and the blessing of Shehecheyanu as I kissed his hand was with the most emotion I have ever said it.
So many thoughts and conversations to share, especially about things relevant to Shiviti, but for now, just the most special of them all: my children feel like family to Mori HaRav. They come home to him like they never left, eat popsicles at his table, get tested on Torah subjects by him, and leave with gifts from Rabbanit Peretz (please continue praying for her health!). Such humility alongside such greatness.
ברוך ששם חלקנו בבית מדרשו.
Blessed is HaKadosh Baruch Hu for putting our portion in his Bet HaMidrash.
