Immodest Modesty

March 3, 2016

img_6297“She is not Tznius” – no, she is not a Tznua perhaps. Tznius (ignore the s) is a noun, not an adjective.

“She is not a Tzanua” – no, perhaps she is not a Tznua. Tzanua is in the masculine form.

“She is not…” – wait, how modest can modesty be if it obsesses over the way women look?

How much longer will you consider rabbis who can only talk about women’s undergarments to be modest people?

Doesn’t that defeat the whole purpose of Tzniut?

I worry that more is wrong with these people than meets the eye.
